Participants met and learnt from Dr David Whitebread, founder of the PEDAL Institute (Play Education Development and Learning) at Cambridge University, UK; Caroline Essame, founder of Developmental Play, who is based in Singapore and works in the Philippines, India and the UK and Pablo Stansbery from UNICEF. Monalisa Guce, presented research and practice from the Philippines and Dr Susan Mathew will present work from India. Linda Smith, co-founder of Six Bricks, South Africa ran a masterclass on how to use LEGO in play based learning and Caroline Clay, UK, presented work on developmental play and work with teenagers who have experienced trauma. Additional presentations covered topics on inclusion, arts therapy, activity based learning, neonatal care, play for children at risk and participants from across the globe to shared best practice in play.

Presenters included play practitioners from BRAC, Save the Children, Unilab, Deepti Special School and Sankalpa.
Building a solid foundation for ALL children through play
